Modern Biography Series
The Modern Biography Series was created out of a love for family, story, and film. Summer trips to relatives revealed how much of our identity is sitting in old boxes tucked away in the closet + how intentional our families were about preserving these moments. This project is our mission to help modernize the shared narratives of our families and document these moments moving forward so we can preserve for generations to come.

EMILY
I'm an idealist, a Florida native, a doodler, a storyteller + sometimes a filmmaker too. I'll always believe in grand romantic gestures and writing feelings down in pen. I take videos of things I love and order chicken when I really want steak. I laugh loud just like my mom. I'll always prefer ketchup over mustard and I hate listening to a song all the way through.
For me, wedding films are like my favorite coffee house, a place where so many of my passions get to meet. My hopeless romantic side gets to meet the part of me that loves to document. My love for people meets my dream of capturing their beauty and emotions. The storyteller in me gets to see the world in beginnings, middles + ends.
ZEN
I'm very superstitious. Florida born and South Carolina raised, I'm a t-shirt + jeans kind of guy just living my life between Stevie Wonder tracks. My morning coffee is my muse and I think better when I walk. I live for the small moments. Sitting on the porch looking up at the sky. The perfect stroke of a chord on my guitar. I fill an old moleskin journal with the stories + songs in my head and get nervous when I play music in front of people.
I am moved by the timeless narratives that bring us together. The small moments we may have forgotten that carry the weight of the world as we relive them for the first time. There's happiness in these moments and I find purpose in helping share them with you.
